Mobile Pulse Jet Dust Collector Used on a Railroad Track Cleaner, Beckert & Hiester, Inc.

Mobile pulse jet cartridge type dust collector is used on this track engine to exhaust the dust created by a sweeper broom. The broom clears debris from the railroad tracks and ties. This unique engine also mows grass from the right-of-way shoulders, ploughs snow and sets new rails and ties. The dust collector's fan is driven by a hydraulic motor. Pulse system and timer are powered by DC current and compressed air from other on-board systems. This dust collector can only be furnished through Nordco of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada for use on railroad equipment, but similar designs are available from Beckert & Hiester for other uses where conventional power sources are not available.

Typical pricing is $ 9,000 to $ 10,500.
